HotelTonight – Hotels in Philadelphia New Jersey Suburbs

Philadelphia is one of those cities you can visit again and again. It's loaded with great entertainment, fantastic restaurants and, of course, incredibly rich history. Every time I visit Philly, I gain a greater understanding of why locals love their city. On the other hand, I can also see how locals would get burnt out of the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Philadelphia can be expensive, crowded and loud, which is why so many people eventually move out of the city for a more laidback life in the suburbs. There are a number of great suburbs in New Jersey that offer a quick commute into Philadelphia, while also providing a higher quality of life. When I discovered this, I decided that I too wanted to see what life in these suburbs was like, so I checked HotelTonight for a hotel in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, and found a terrific selection of great hotels in some of the most charming suburbs in the area.

Cherry Hill

This bucolic suburb in New Jersey is absolutely idyllic, and I immediately wanted to move into one of the lovely homes on the Cherry Tree-lined streets. It's a bit quieter than the other New Jersey suburbs I explored, but it was still one of my very favorites. I could see why the lifestyle in this small, quaint town would be so appealing to those burnt out by the rat race of Philly.

Haddonfield

Haddonfield is a great place to live if you're commuting into Philly. The commute takes less than 30 minutes, but it feels a world away. Haddonfield has one of the most picturesque downtown areas I've seen, and I loved the small-town charm and character of this south New Jersey town. I ate many meals on Kings Highway (the main commercial district) and mingled with many locals, who expressed just how lucky they were to live in a place like Haddonfield.

Collingswood

Another New Jersey suburb, Collingswood is a bit more of a funky, offbeat suburb, and it's a popular place for creative types, young professionals and professors. There's a cool energy in Collingswood, and you can find it on Haddon Avenue, the main commercial thoroughfare, which teems with cute coffee shops, upscale restaurants and countless boutiques and galleries. I fell in love with the character of Collingswood almost immediately, and I was so glad I decided to venture into the Philly suburbs to explore more of the area, because otherwise I wouldn't have stumbled upon such incredible little towns.
