HotelTonight – Terrific Hotels in Encino Park San Antonio

As one of San Antonio's most desirable suburbs, Encino Park is a particularly popular neighborhood for families. Encino Park is located north of San Antonio's city center, and it's nestled in a peaceful pocket of San Antonio's outskirts, and locals are willing to shell out a little bit more money to live in this beautiful, serene neighborhood. Since I like to get off the beaten path whenever traveling to a new city, I decided to explore Encino Park during my recent San Antonio getaway. Even though it's considered a suburb, Encino Park and its surrounding areas have plenty to offer in terms of entertainment, dining and shopping, and sights to see, so I was certainly never bored. To book my hotel near Encino Park San Antonio, I simply pulled up HotelTonight's website on my computer and within minutes I had booked a fantastic hotel in this lovely San Antonio neighborhood.

The Caverns

I'm from a big city, thus I don't get many opportunities to venture into the great outdoors and explore nature. So when I heard about the Natural Bridge Caverns in San Antonio, I immediately put this park on my list. These stunning limestone caverns are located in the Texas Hill Country, and visitors can enter the caverns on various tours. For any travelers who want to see natural wonders instead of crowded museums and tourist-packed restaurants, I'd definitely recommended exploring the Natural Bridge Caverns while in San Antonio.

This may come as a surprise to you, but San Antonio actually has a flourishing wine scene. There are dozens of wineries scattered throughout the San Antonio and Texas Hill Country areas, and I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to learn about this vibrant Texas wine scene firsthand while in San Antonio. I spent an entire day exploring this unique wine region and have to admit, I was impressed with the quality of this Texas wine.

The Lake

There are a number of lakes located near San Antonio, but few are more popular among locals than Canyon Lake. After a short drive out of Encino Park, I arrived at Canyon Lake, a large, peaceful lake that's provides the perfect escape on a sweltering summer day. This lake has over 80 miles of shoreline, so you'll definitely be able to find a beach that suits your style. I spent an afternoon swimming and kayaking in this lake, which felt like a little oasis on that hot Texas afternoon.
