HotelTonight – Mountain Park Ranch Phoenix Hotels Available

Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful South Mountain Park, Mountain Park Ranch is one of Phoenix's most desirable suburbs. Not only is it close to an expansive nature preserve, which features great hiking trails and picturesque views of the valley, but Mountain Park Ranch also offers other great outdoor activities. So when I started craving the sunshine and the stunning desert scenery in the middle of winter, I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to visit Phoenix. To make my last-minute getaway a reality, I pulled up the HotelTonight app on my phone and quickly booked a hotel in Mountain Park Ranch Phoenix. Traveling has never been easier now that I have HotelTonight at my fingertips, because I know I can always book a great hotel at a moment's notice whenever I have a sudden urge to escape for the weekend.

South Mountain

At nearly 17,000 acres, South Mountain Park offers so many trails that you'll never get bored of this beautiful mountain. Considered the world's "largest city park," this 11-mile long mountain provides endless outdoor activities for locals. Whether you want to go hiking, mountain biking or even horseback riding, you can find it all in South Mountain. I decided to do as the locals do while hiking South Mountain, so I brought a picnic to enjoy at one of the many picnic areas in the park. I sat down to eat my lunch, mingled with some locals and enjoyed the breathtaking desert scenery all around me.

The Lake

When you're in the middle of the desert, the last thing you think you'll see is a lake, but Phoenix is actually home to many lakes, both natural and man-made. Since I planned my trip to Phoenix in order to enjoy sunny weather and fun outdoor activities, I decided to spend some time at one of the local lakes, Firebird Lake. This isn't your typical lake, though--it's one specifically designed for water sports. I love water skiing, and I never thought I'd have the chance to water ski in the desert, which is why I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by Firebird Lake while in the Phoenix valley.

Golf Courses

If there's one thing Phoenix is known for among visitors, it's the city's abundance of golf courses. There are so many golf courses scattered throughout the Phoenix metro area that it's almost hard to choose which one to play, but I settled on a beautiful golf course near my Mountain Park Ranch hotel. There's something very relaxing and peaceful about golfing under the warm desert sun, and it was the perfect way to end my short weekend in Phoenix.
