HotelTonight – Book Your South Dallas Hotel Today

Dallas is a sprawling metropolis, home to a wide variety of different neighborhoods, all of which have different atmospheres and different cultures. During my recent trip to Dallas, I decided I wanted to explore parts of the city I had never seen before, which is why I chose to stay at a hotel near South Dallas. This historically segregated neighborhood may not typically be the first stop for tourists, but it is a critical part of Dallas' cultural fabric, and I wanted to experience it for myself. To book my hotel near South Dallas, I simply pulled up my HotelTonight app on my phone and within minutes I had booked a great last-minute hotel in Dallas. Whenever I travel, I rely on HotelTonight to help me find great deals on hotels in just a few short minutes, which means that I can spend less time hassling with travel plans and more time exploring the diverse neighborhoods of a new city.

The Entertainment

South Dallas is home to some of the city's biggest entertainment venues, including Fair Park, a National Historic Landmark that features nine different museums and also hosts the annual State Fair of Texas. There's a great reason for football fans to visit Fair Park, as this is where you'll find the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium. So whether you're in Dallas during football season or not, sports lovers--as well as history lovers and art lovers--will find plenty of excitement and entertainment in South Dallas.

The Creek

White Rock Creek winds through the Dallas metro area, and it's considered one of the borders of the South Dallas neighborhood. At various sections of the White Rock Creek, you will find great hiking and biking trails, which are perfect for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors on a nice day. One morning, I hopped onto a trail near the creek and joined locals as they took advantage of the natural beauty of their hometown.

The Cedars

The Cedars is a historic district in South Dallas that is now home to an eclectic mix of people, including young artists and musicians. This neighborhood was originally founded in the 1870s, so its roots run deep. You can get a sense of The Cedars' rich history simply by walking its streets, where you'll see a handful of old Victorian homes (which, unfortunately, haven't been restored). Today, though, this neighborhood is booming with new lofts and renovated warehouses, which have become popular among local artists and young professionals. The Cedars is experiencing an exciting rebirth, and I think it's well worth visiting this up-and-coming neighborhood in person.
