HotelTonight – Germantown Nashville Hotel Rooms at the Drop of a Hat
I love Nashville, Tennessee and have loved it since I was a child. My Father used to travel here on business, and a couple of times per year he'd take me with him. I remember that we'd drive downtown and I'd marvel at all of the lights and sounds and then we'd go and have the most delicious hamburgers and malts that I had ever tasted, probably as much because of the experience as anything else. After I grew up and left home, I lost touch with Nashville. Decades had passed since I had visited. That all changed not too long ago when I had to go there for work while at my previous job. I fell in love all over again. I recently took a new position that involves more travel, and I was thrilled to find out that Nashville was one of the places I'd be visiting often. On my last trip, I decided to take 24 hours for myself and visit Germantown, as I had heard a lot about it. I would find a Germantown Nashville hotel room with HotelTonight, so that wasn't a concern. I just wanted to see it again.
Germantown was the embodiment of all that I had remembered about Nashville from my childhood. It was gorgeous. There were beautiful trees lining what seemed like every street. There were beautiful Victorian homes all over the neighborhood and I thought that every homeowner worked for hours every weekend on the yards. It was impeccably maintained throughout, and that's a rare thing in what is actually the oldest neighborhood in Nashville. It was as if the scene that I saw--children playing in the parks and the yards, people out walking--was the same one I'd have seen 50 years ago.
The Farmer's Market
There are few if any ways to get an idea of what a neighborhood is all about better than a farmer's market. Germantown has one all year long, and you can find fresh produce and other items pretty much anytime you want. I felt like snacking on some fresh fruit, as it was the time of year when it was in season. The apple I had was so good that I had to almost force myself not to go back and eat several more. I was happy for the locals who got to feed themselves here all the time.
Someone had told me earlier that day that even the food here was traditional if that's what I wanted for dinner. I did, and I went to a place that served its dinners family style. I was amazed as I sat and talked with other guests about all sorts of things over delicious buckets of fried chicken and hot biscuits and gravy. It was a wonderful experience overall, and not one that you'll usually find in a big city.

After that dinner, all I could think about was relaxing in my room. I needed to find one, though, so I opened HotelTonight and booked a Germantown Nashville hotel room in seconds. I couldn't wait to fall into my comfortable bed, satisfied with a great day.
