HotelTonight – Book Hotels in Vernal-Naples at the Drop of a Hat
During a recent trip to Colorado, I found myself needing a break from the long drive and decided to use the time to explore a part of the state I'd never been to before. I pulled off the highway in Naples, near Vernal, and was looking forward to seeing what the small town had to offer. Thanks to the HotelTonight app, I didn't have to worry about finding a place to stay, even on short notice.
The Area
Naples is near Vernal and located in Uintah County, next to the Colorado border. Naples is just a five-minute drive from Vernal and is located in a beautiful part of the state. I quickly discovered that the Vernal-Naples area is a great place to be for anyone who loves the outdoors. There are a number of hiking trails in the area and the Vernal-Naples area is just a short drive from the Uintah Mountains, which are part of the Rocky Mountain chain. Once I'd arrived in the area, I was looking forward to getting out of my car and spending a fun day in the area.
Things to Do
One of the first things I did after arriving in the Vernal-Naples area was to visit the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park and Dinosaur Garden. It was a great way to relax, and I loved being able to see a part of the history of the area. After that, I decided to take a hike on one of the many trails around Naples. It was a great way to get out and enjoy some of the beautiful scenery around Vernal and Naples.
The Food
After a fun day spent in Naples, I was feeling hungry and wanted to sample the best food that the Vernal-Naples area had to offer. I asked some locals where I should eat at and eventually ended up at a great cafe that served some delicious food. I ordered a club sandwich and some fries. The meal was delicious and the staff was friendly and great. I will make sure I eat at that cafe again the next time I am in town. It was so good, it was almost worth the trip to Naples alone.
