HotelTonight – Book Your Riverfront Sioux City Hotel Today

Sioux City, Iowa is one of the most affordable cities in the country, but don't let this one little fact make you believe there's nothing to do here. Sioux City is actually full of small-town, Midwestern charm, and there are a number of attractions and activities to keep you busy in and around the city – and I should know, since I just got home from an impromptu weekend trip to Sioux City. Even though I only had two days to explore Sioux City, I was able to get a great feel for the heart and soul of the town in just a few hours. That's because I stayed in a great location, the Riverfront, which was the perfect home base for exploring the best parts of the city. To book a hotel in Sioux City's Riverfront, I simply checked out the HotelTonight website. Within a few minutes on the website, I had booked a great hotel room in the heart of the Riverfront neighborhood and was ready to get to know Sioux City for myself.

The Art Scene

Staying at a hotel at the Sioux City Riverfront put me in the heart of all the action, and I was close to everything I wanted to do or see during my stay. In particular, I was very close to several museums, art centers and performing arts venues. From my hotel, I was able to walk to the Sioux City Art Center, the Sioux City Public Museum, and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. I didn't have to travel far to find a great selection of interesting attractions, and I quickly discovered that Sioux City has a surprisingly great arts and entertainment scene.

The River

I loved staying in the Riverfront area of Sioux City, since I was always just a couple of minutes away from the wide, beautiful Missouri River. There are a number of riverfront parks, walking trails and restaurants that provide picturesque views of the river and a welcome dose of nature.

South Sioux City

Right across the Missouri River is South Sioux City, Nebraska. I loved that I could just cross a bridge and be in an entirely different state, which is why I spent a couple of hours exploring South Sioux City. This small Nebraska city felt like the quintessential Midwestern town, and I enjoyed walking through its quaint streets and meeting the friendly locals. While there isn't as much to do in South Sioux City as there is in downtown Sioux City, I still found it an interesting place to explore for part of the afternoon.
