HotelTonight – Book Your Buffalo Hotel and Experience the Beauty of Wyoming

You don't need a time machine to see what the Wild West was like, because the small Wyoming town of Buffalo is like a time capsule that has perfectly preserved its old-school cowboy culture. The rich, distinctive history of Buffalo makes it a fascinating town to visit, and I simply couldn't learn enough about the town's history during my brief stay in Buffalo. And, of course, I couldn't get enough of the beautiful outdoors, which is certainly Buffalo's greatest attraction. When you travel to this town in Wyoming, you should expect to spend a good amount of time enjoying the great outdoors, because there is no shortage of natural beauty all around Buffalo. I felt like I was in a completely new world when I visited Wyoming, and I was glad I had the chance to take such a spur-of-the-moment trip. To book my last-minute hotel in Buffalo, I simply opened the HotelTonight app on my phone. Minutes later, I had a great hotel in Buffalo, Wyoming waiting for me.

Main Street

The heart of any small Western town is always Main Street, and Buffalo is no different. Once busy with oxen, wagons, horses and buggies, Main Street is now the center of the action in Buffalo, and it hasn't lost a bit of its old world charm. Main Street is where locals go to shop and to have a nice meal, and I loved strolling down this historic street – it almost felt like I was walking on a movie set.

The Foothills

Right outside of downtown Buffalo, you'll see rolling foothills mixed with rugged terrain. These foothills are home to many ranches, some of which offer horseback riding to visitors. Since I don't spend much time on horses (I spent much more time on the subway), I thought it would be a unique experience to go horseback riding while in Wyoming. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip, as it was a fantastic way to see the beautiful countryside around Buffalo.

The Bighorns

Buffalo is nestled into the base of the Bighorn Mountains, which offer boundless options for outdoor recreation. From hiking and fishing to skiing and snowshoeing, the Bighorns know how to delight outdoors recreation lovers. Since the wealth of beautiful nature is one of the main draws of Wyoming, I tried to spend as much time immersed in the great outdoors as possible during my stay, which is probably the reason why I left Buffalo feeling unstressed and re-energized.

I've traveled through many states over the years, but few have taken my breath away quite like Wyoming has. When I do make it back to the "Cowboy State," I'll be sure to book my Wyoming hotel through HotelTonight.
