HotelTonight – Hotels in Pasco Washington

Pasco is located in the Tri-Cities region of Washington, so it is known for it's dry, sunny climate and impressive agricultural industry, which includes the state's booming wine industry. From its vibrant downtown to its picturesque wineries, Pasco definitely deserves to be considered a great vacation spot, especially if you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway along the river. There's so much to do and see in Pasco, it's no wonder why locals love it so much. I recently had the chance to experience the best of Pasco in person, and it didn't take me long to realize why Pasco locals feel so lucky to live here. There's a great quality of life in Pasco, and I tried to soak it in during my short stay. Since my Pasco getaway was rather spur-of-the-moment, I relied on HotelTonight to help me find a great last-minute hotel in Pasco. All I had to do was pull up my HotelTonight app, and within minutes I had booked a terrific hotel near downtown Pasco.

Downtown

Downtown Pasco combines the feel of an old-fashioned downtown with the energy of a modern downtown. As the heart of Pasco, downtown hosts regular community events, such as the famed farmers market, where locals come to mingle, explore and shop. And since Pasco is an agricultural community, you can bet that all of the produce is fresh and high quality. Spending the morning exploring this weekly farmers market was one of highlights of my trip to Pasco.

Sacagawea Heritage Trail

Pasco is located along the Sacagawea Heritage Trail, a 23-mile recreational trail that winds through the Tri-Cities region. This public trail is a favorite among locals because it provides a great area for walking, running and biking, but it also passes some of the most notable landmarks in the Tri-Cities. For instance, it winds past Chiawana Park, Court Street and the Blue Bridge in Pasco, and eventually it leads all the way to Sacagawea State Park.

The Columbia River

The Tri-Cities were built around the beautiful Columbia River, which is why water recreation is one of the most popular activities in Pasco during the warmer months. Since I happened to visit Pasco in the summer, I took full advantage of the river, sunshine and went boating one day. Locals also love going kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and water skiing in the river. And if it's not warm enough to enjoy the water, locals still love making good use of the riverfront paths and parks.

HotelTonight – Pasco Washington Hotels

Pasco certainly isn't a popular tourist destination, but that's one of the reasons I loved it. I got a great feel for Pasco's tight-knit community and culture, and that's one of the things that make traveling to new places so special. My quick Pasco getaway wouldn't have been possible without HotelTonight, though, because HotelTonight made it so easy for me to find a great Pasco hotel at a moment's notice. Since I love taking spontaneous trips, I prefer to keep my travel arrangements flexible, and that's why HotelTonight has become one of my very favorite travel resources.
