HotelTonight – Hotels in Long Beach Washington

There are few better beach towns in the Pacific Northwest than Long Beach, Washington. Home to the "World's Longest Beach," Long Beach is a very popular destination in the summer, when people travel from all over the PNW and beyond to enjoy the laidback vibes and beautiful natural sights of this beach town. After spending a stressful week in Seattle on a business trip, I decided that instead of going home right away, I should take the opportunity to further enjoy some of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. At the advice of some Seattle natives, I decided to visit Long Beach, Washington. To book my last-minute hotel in Long Beach, I checked HotelTonight's selection of Long Beach, Washington hotels. Within minutes on the HotelTonight app, I had booked a great Long Beach hotel just blocks from the beach.

The Beach

There's a good reason why this city is named "Long Beach" – it boasts 28 miles of wide, sandy beaches, so you'll never feel like the beaches are too busy or too crowded. After such a long, stressful week in the city, spending an entire weekend by the beach was exactly what the doctor ordered. I relaxed on the beach, joined some locals in volleyball games and even went digging for clams, a traditional activity in Long Beach.

The Boardwalk

Every good beach town has a great boardwalk, and Long Beach's boardwalk definitely didn't disappoint. While Long Beach's boardwalk isn't lined with wild carnival games or hot dog stands, it does offer so much more charm and beauty. This unique boardwalk is a serene, calm path that winds through the coastal terrain of Long Beach, providing a great place to run, walk and enjoy the beauty of the Washington coastline. Plus, it's an easy walk to downtown and to the beach, so you'll definitely want to spend some time exploring the boardwalk while you're in Long Beach.

Downtown

Downtown Long Beach is where both locals and visitors go for food, shopping and entertainment. This downtown area has a distinctive beach town vibe, and it features all types of entertainment options, such as an arcade, bumper cars, a carousel, laser tag and more. Of course, downtown Long Beach is also the best place to find great restaurants and cafes, and since it's an easy walk from the beach, you can go back and forth all day long. I noticed that Long Beach is a particularly great place for family getaways, since there are so many great options for family fun in downtown Long Beach.
