You can get a great feel for the history of Everett by wandering through the historic district, which spans from 8th Street to 25th Street and from Broadway to Grand Avenue. These blocks are filled with historic, stately homes and incredible old architectural gems that you shouldn't miss while visiting Everett.
Waterfront
The lifeblood of Everett is its waterfront. After all, it's a major international port and home to the Naval Station Everett. The marina is a great place to visit and to get a feel for life in Everett. This are hosts regular farmers markets, concerts, art festivals and other community events. The waterfront is also a popular place for locals to get out and get active, as it features some great running and biking paths.
Downtown
In the heart of downtown Everett, you'll find plenty of great spots for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The downtown area is defined by Pacific Avenue and Everett Avenue, and it features a mix of small shops and high-rises. Locals head to downtown when they want to check out craft breweries, enjoy a good meal or just spend an afternoon shopping. This district is also where many locals work, so just by walking the streets of downtown you'll get a good sense of what daily life is like for Everett locals.
