HotelTonight – Book Your Hotel in Crystal Mountain Washington Today

Adventure lovers flock to Crystal Mountain year-round, because this is one of the best spots in the Pacific Northwest for outdoor recreation. Crystal Mountain is located in the majestic Cascade Range, which is easily accessible from Seattle and Tacoma, making it one of the premier ski destinations in all of Washington. Since it's also the largest ski resort in the state, Crystal Mountain is a very popular weekend destination during winter. However, it's also a popular destination for outdoors enthusiasts during the warmer months. Since I found myself in Seattle during the winter, I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to test out such great skiing while in the Pacific Northwest. Without hesitating, I booked a last-minute hotel near Crystal Mountain, Washington through HotelTonight, and I packed up my snow gear and headed toward the mountains.

Winter Sports

Without a doubt, Crystal Mountain is best known for its world-class skiing, and it also offers a number of other great snow activities, such a snowshoeing and snowmobiling. This ski resort is a popular destination for Pacific Northwest locals, so I felt like I was fitting right in with the PNW lifestyle when I visited Crystal Mountain. After a fun-filled day of skiing, I realized that I couldn't leave just then – so I extended my stay one more night in order to spend another day on the mountain.

Summer Recreation

Even when there's no snow on the ground, Crystal Mountain is a great place to visit. The summer months transform Crystal Mountain into a popular retreat for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. You can even take a gondola up to the top of the mountain and enjoy incredible views on the journey to the summit. There are so many things to do on Crystal Mountain during the summer that it's basically a big playground for outdoors lovers.

Mount Rainier

Crystal Mountain is located right next to Mount Rainier National Park, which is full of beautiful valleys, waterfalls, glaciers, meadows and old-growth forest, so there is no shortage of stunning natural scenery to admire. The Wonderland Trail is a popular route for exploring the iconic Mount Rainier, which also happens to be an active volcano. There's a lot to explore in Mount Rainier, and it's hard to do it all in just one day, but it's well worth the visit no matter how little time you have.
