Recently, I found myself tired while heading through southern Utah. After a particularly long stretch of driving, I needed a break and jumped at the chance to see some beautiful country and spend the day in a quaint little town in southern Utah. I pulled off the road in Torrey and was looking forward to a day of relaxation. I knew finding a place to stay wouldn't be an issue, since the HotelTonight app makes booking a room, especially on short notice, a breeze.
The Area
Torrey is located in southern Utah and is just a short drive from the Capitol Reef National Park. It's a small town, with a population under 200, but the little town has a lot to offer. Especially for those with a love of history and the great outdoors. The town is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers visitors easy access to the outdoors. It also has some interesting historical things to see while in town. As I pulled into town, I couldn't wait to explore Torrey and see the beautiful scenery that surrounds the town.
Things to Do
If you enjoy being in nature, then Torrey is a great place to visit. The town is just a short drive from so many places of natural beauty. The first thing I did while I was there was to take the short drive to Capitol Reef National Park. I always try to visit a national park when I am on the road and have always wanted to see Capitol Reef. It was so amazing, I only wish I could have spent more time there. It'd be easy to spend a week looking around the park. Then I headed over to check out Waterpocket Fold, which was equally as amazing and beautiful. After that, I decided to head back into town and find something to eat.
The Food
After spending much of the day at Capitol Reef, I was feeling hungry and asked some locals where the best place to eat was. They directed me to the Red Cliff Restaurant, which specializes in casual American dining. I ordered some pizza and loved the food. I was glad I listened to the suggestion of the locals. The next time I find myself passing through Torrey, I'll be sure to stop by there again.

After a great day in Torrey, I was feeling tired and ready to relax for the night.
