HotelTonight – Find Great Hotels in Tooele
During a recent trip to Utah, I found myself in Tooele with a free day after a meeting was canceled. I decided to make the most of my unexpected day off and get out to explore the city of Tooele. The HotelTonight app took all the stress out of finding a place to stay at the last minute and let me enjoy a fun day seeing what it is that makes Tooele special. Spending the day in Tooele was a great choice.
The Area
Tooele is located southwest of Salt Lake City and like much of Utah is surrounded by mountains and gorgeous scenery. The city offers a great view of the Oquirrh Mountains and of the famous Great Salt Lake. The natural beauty of the Tooele area makes it a popular place for camping and hiking, and there are so many great hiking trails in the area. In addition to that, Tooele is also home to several local businesses and shops. With all of these things coming together to make Tooele what it is, it's easy to see why the town is known as The Greatest City in Utah.
Things to Do
I was amazed at all the things the city has to do. In addition to the numerous parks, hiking trails and great views of the mountains, Tooele is also an exciting city that is growing into one of the best places to be in the state. While I was in town, I visited a really cool museum that was dedicated to the history of the pioneers. The museum gave a clear look at what life was like for the first settlers who came across the country. Tooele is also home to several other great activities such as scuba diving. I even saw ads to go skydiving. Tooele really seems like one of the most entertaining and exciting places to go in Utah.
The Food
After a day of fun spent exploring the city and learning about local history, I was feeling hungry and started looking for a place to eat. I found a great locally-owned restaurant that prided itself on delicious hamburgers and dessert. I had a hamburger first and was so glad I decided to stop in there. It was a great burger, I can't wait till I can eat there again. Then I had some ice cream that tasted homemade. It was a great meal and a great way to cap off my day in Tooele.
