HotelTonight – Snowbird Hotels
I've heard a lot about the great activities and what a cool city Snowbird is, but I never got the chance to spend a day there until recently. I was driving through Utah on my way home from a wedding and decided to split my drive up and spend the day in Snowbird. I knew I wouldn't have to worry about dealing with the hassle of booking a hotel at the last minute thanks to the HotelTonight app.
The Area
Snowbird is located south of Salt Lake City in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is one of the most beautiful places in the state and has so much to see and do. In winter, the community is a haven for skiers and snowboarders who travel from all around to hit the slopes. It is located close to both Salt Lake City and Sandy, which gives people staving in Snowbird the relaxation and beauty of staying in nature, while just a short drive from large cities. Snowbird is one of my favorite places I've ever visited in Utah and is somewhere all nature lovers should check out.
Things To Do
The ski resort at Snowbird is open year round. In the winter, it offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country and during the summer months, there are several activities such as a zip line, an alpine slide and an aerial tram. I was in Snowbird during the summer, so I decided to head up to the resort area and spend a day having fun in the hills. I loved taking the tram, which gives a great view of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and the surrounding areas. I'd love to visit again during the winter and get a chance to ski the legendary fresh powder that Snowbird is known for.
The Food
While I was in Snowbird I wanted to be sure and try the best food the city had to offer. So I asked some locals and was led to a great restaurant with one of the prettiest views I've ever seen. I was so glad I ate there because the food was amazing. I had a great meal of grilled chicken and vegetables. Then I decided to top off my meal with a piece of German chocolate cake. The cake was delicious and made the whole dining experience wonderful.
