HotelTonight – Book Mountain Home Hotels
Originally, my trip to Mountain Home was only supposed to be for a few hours. I was in town for a job interview and had planned to jump back on the road as soon as I could. But something about the town was calling me, and I decided to change my schedule and spend a day exploring Mountain Home. Thanks to the HotelTonight app, I knew I wouldn't have to worry about finding a room on short notice or have to pay expensive fees, which let me enjoy my day in Mountain Home.
The Area
As soon as I pulled into Mountain Home, I noticed the town felt different. There was a welcoming and friendly feeling everywhere I went and loved the time I spent in Mountain Home. While having a population of nearly 15,000, Mountain Home retains the feeling of a small town that looks like it belongs on a postcard. From the beautiful tree-lined streets to the historic, older buildings in the town center, I quickly discovered that Mountain Home has so much to offer. It truly is a hidden gem in Idaho.
Things to Do
Mountain Home is filled with great activities and things to do while you're in town. There is a lot to do for outdoors lovers, including hiking trails, easy access to the Snake River and more. During the day I spent in the city, I went to the Snake River Canyon Overlook, which provides a great view of the canyon and river. It was a great chance to get outside and enjoy nature. I also visited a museum that was in town and loved learning about the history of the area. There were also a number of parks around the city. It seemed that Mountain Home has plenty to offer visitors.
The Food
Whenever I visit a new place, I love to find the places where the locals love to eat at. I asked around and several people directed me to a pizza place on Main Street. After taking a bite of my pizza, I was glad I listened. It was delicious, and the breadsticks were great too. I would have loved to have had more time in Mountain Home, because I noticed several other restaurants that looked great. I can't wait to try some of the other great looking restaurants on my next trip to Mountain Home.

After capping off my day of sightseeing with a great meal, I was feeling tired and ready to relax and unwind.
