HotelTonight – Minocqua Hotels Just for You
Some of the most gorgeous and memorable places I have ever seen were little communities that I had never heard of before discovering them. They were also usually names that I could not spell until I had enjoyed such a great experience that I'd never forget them. I found myself in the northern woods of Wisconsin not too long ago, and as luck had it I stumbled upon yet another one of those places. That place is known as Minocqua, and as said it's not one of those places with which most people are familiar unless they have been there. After spending a day there, I hope that more people find out about it so that they can understand what this special little community is all about. Within 24 hours, Minocqua for me had gone from a place I had never heard of to a place I will be bringing my family to see so we can have even more fun. One of the best parts of my day of exploration there was that I spent all of about 30 seconds finding and booking a Minocqua hotel room. That was because of my HotelTonight app.
The Paths
If you want to get out and see what things are really like deep inside a northern forest, come to Minocqua. As soon as I parked my vehicle and put on my hiking shoes, I was happy with my footwear decision. There are walking paths all over the place here, and many of them seem to dig ever deeper into the woods while running along the waterways that dominate the landscape up there. I spent hours walking, talking with people who were also there and taking more photos than I had in a very long time. It was green, sunny and beautiful.
The... Zoo?
Many people who know a thing or two about Wisconsin know that the biggest zoo in the state is the Milwaukee Zoo, which is also known as one of the finest facilities of its type in the world. I had no idea that the second largest zoo in the state is in Minocqua, of all places. I didn't even know there was a zoo, but when I discovered it I had to go see what it was all about. It was amazing. It was enormous, and most of it was outdoors. You get to see the animals right in front of you, and the crowds are also quite manageable so you can see a lot of this wonderful place.
The Dining
Minocqua is actually quite popular with travelers in the summer, so there are a lot of different types of restaurants there. I kept hearing about a supper club that was great there, and apparently a supper club is a place where you go in, order a drink with the bartender, tell them how many are in your party, and you're seated when your food is ready. There isn't much variety, as supper clubs make one or two things per night. It was a unique and really enjoyable dining experience.

I was more than full after my scrumptious prime rib dinner, so it was time to head back to my Minocqua hotel room. I think I was asleep before I even got completely into bed, but one of my last thoughts was how fortunate I was to be able to use an app like HotelTonight.
