HotelTonight – Cambria Hotels Are Available

Have you ever driven along the California coast, or any coastline, for that matter? If you have, you understand when I talk about how these drives can seem to remove you from society in a strange sort of way given all that you're looking at as you move along. I have driven the California coast many times, and while I appreciate the ability to drive through such a beautiful place, I've always had the regret that I never had any time to really explore any of the seaside communities that exist there. At most, I'd stop for gas or maybe a quick bite to eat and then be on my way once again. On my last drive up the coast, I got a call telling me that suddenly, my entire day was wide open due to some cancellations. I decided right then and there that it was time to see somewhere new. I was near Cambria, so I was going to stop there for 24 hours. I wasn't worried about finding a place to stay, as I travel with my HotelTonight app. I'd book a Cambria hotel room as soon as I was ready to rest.

The Town

As I pulled into town, it almost felt like I was pulling into an old seaside village in New England or some other part of the world. The buildings were all extremely quaint and well-maintained, there were a lot of brick facades and old-looking structures and the entire area was extremely clean. You could tell that the 6,000 residents there take a lot of pride in the look of their home, and they all seem to know each other as well. I talked to a few of them at the coffee shop and noted how happy everyone was.

The Nature

Cambria, which in Latin means "whales," sits along the Pacific Ocean, and you always know it's there when you're in or near town. I walked down to a couple of different beaches and found it remarkable that they were so diverse. There were little rocks on the sand all over the place of different colors, there were tall grassy areas and trees nearby, large rock formations and just a lot to look at and appreciate right there next to this lovely little town. Once again, I found myself talking to a few locals about life there, and to be short, life is good in Cambria.

The Dining

I had heard about a local place that served a lot of local produce and meat, so that's where I wanted to have my dinner. The decor was relatively rustic, but it belonged next to the sea to be sure. I decided on the bone-in pork chop, which was served with local Brussels sprouts. It was delectable. The pork was tender, juicy and tasty and the sprouts were cooked perfectly, as though they were made to absorb the pork juice as it made its way around the plate.

HotelTonight – Cambria Hotels Just for You

I was quite full and happy with my meal and my day. I decided to get some sleep. I opened my HotelTonight app and booked a Cambria hotel room in seconds. 20 minutes later, I was lying in my bed, drifting off to sleep with the knowledge that I had experience someplace wonderful.
