It would wonderful if I was treated differently than other guests - couple incidents one w valet and the other w front desk - but it’s still one of my favorite hotels in the area. I’ve been going to the Townsend since I was a child, but the staff treats me like I’m the new kid. But that’s Birmingham.

The best hotel in Birmingham by far. Clean, large rooms. Lovely staff.

Sure, the bellman knows your name, but every other element of this once great hotel is just running on fumes of what it once was. Rooms are still nice but outdated, internet is 25/day as though it were 2001, most of mini bar covered in dust.
