bare bones, also doubles as a college dorm, and co-working space. that wouldn't be for everyone, but it worked for us. there were lots of amenities, the room itself was a little worse for wear in terms of marks on the walls, etc, but it was fine for the price.
The location was not convenient to many of the sites and attractions of Bologna.
