Why We Like It

  • Historic Art Deco architecture meets swanky, eclectic modern style.
  • Downtown location is as central as it gets.
  • Plays up its location with a cheeky political theme – even the hairdryers are marked “Hot Air.”
  • Stand-out restaurant that serves organic meat, local produce and sustainable seafood – only fitting for California’s capital city.
  • Room service not available.

Donna at the front desk did a great job of making it a great stay for us. This is our anniversary trip to the hotel where we took our first trip together and everyone made it a wonderful celebration!

Cute tho small room. Rad wallpaper. Cool/smart theme. Great service (tho no room service). Didn’t try Grange but it looked pretty stellar. For the rate, I’ll take a hotel like this w a sense of humor & fab design over a X Garden inn any day of the week!
