Why We Like It

  • Landmark building done up in what we’ll call Hippified Traditional. Think croc- (not the shoes) upholstered wingback chairs with floral sides.
  • Thoughtful touches include antique art & furnishings, nods to campus icons and the state’s oldest elevator (manned by an actual human!).
  • Spot-on downtown location, steps from shops, restaurants, galleries and theaters. Also: Yale’s campus. Just walking it makes you feel smarter.

The decor of this hotel is fantastic. There are a lot of public areas for lounging and getting work done. I would recommend requesting a room not near the elevator.
