HotelTonight supports digital accessibility

HotelTonight strives to conform with the European Accessibility Act (“EAA”) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 Level AA for its site and mobile applications by:

  • Incorporating digital accessibility best practices in our design and engineering processes
  • Providing ongoing accessibility training and resources to our staff
  • Engaging quality assurance testers
  • Maintaining a cross-functional team dedicated to monitoring and addressing digital accessibility issues across our site and applications
  • Training our customer support agents on digital accessibility issues

Usability for browsers, assistive technology, and devices

HotelTonight regularly tests and optimizes for the following accessible experiences:

      • Mobile VoiceOver for iOS: native application testing

      • Mobile TalkBack for Android: native application testing
    • JAWS with Microsoft Edge
    • NVDA with Mozilla Firefox
  • Physically- and visually-disabled user controls
    • Keyboard-only commands
      • Desktop Web with Windows
      • Desktop Web with macOS
    • Visually-disabled users
      • Font magnification: Android mobile OS
      • Dynamic type: iOS mobile OS
      • Adjustable font sizes: Web customizable font sizes are tested with Chrome for Desktop, and mobile on Safari for iOS
  • Mobile phones are tested for smaller and larger screens.
  • If there's a bug in an older device or OS version, we verify the issue exists in the current version of the app, then prioritize and resolve it. If the issue doesn't exist in the current version, depending on the severity of impact, it's prioritized against the more recent issues.
