A travel-obsessed serial entrepreneur, Sam previously founded and was CEO of DealBase.com, a travel deals search engine, and was CEO of TravelPost.com, a hotel reviews site. SideStep acquired TravelPost.com and Sam stayed on as VP of business development until its fortunate acquisition by Kayak. Sam also worked in comparison shopping at Excite, CNET and NexTag. A master in the art of proper espresso preparation, Chris built HotelTonight’s first iOS app and backend systems, and continues to drive architecture and strategic technology. He was previously CTO of DealBase and prior to that, architect and senior computer scientist at Adobe Systems. A multilingual world citizen and music and football (soccer) fanatic, Amir divides his team between our offices around the world leading our international operations and growth efforts. Before joining HT, he held several leadership positions in fast-growing web companies, such as Operations Director for Western Europe at Groupon and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Zalando France. Jatinder heads up the Technology team and is responsible for scaling our engineering teams and technology that powers HotelTonight. Prior to HT, Jatinder co-founded MUBI, an online streaming service for watching indie, cult and classic movies. With a human-curated approach and only 30 films available at any given time, MUBI is designed to make the decision-making process simpler for subscribers. Kalpana heads up Customer Experience at HotelTonight where she focuses on delighting our customers. Previously, she worked in consumer insights marketing at American Express in New York, and then joined SurveyMonkey to help build out their enterprise businesses in San Francisco. An avid world traveler comfortable in both hostels and hotel suites, Brian leads all of HotelTonight’s performance marketing. This includes search, display, affiliates and retargeting, brand marketing like out-of-home and partnerships, and the retention team, which includes email marketing and loyalty. Prior to HT, Brian led the user acquisition team at Kiwi, a Sequoia-backed mobile gaming startup for nearly 3 years. Brian started his career at Deloitte under its Enterprise Risk Consulting - Supply Chain group. Brian graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 2009. Beth is a hotel robe enthusiast who leads HotelTonight’s brand, creative, public relations and social media teams. In her 18-year career as a communication & marketing strategist, she’s developed integrated marketing programs for companies in the digital media, financial services and education industries. A world traveler and Bay Area native who loves sharing his travel passion with his two young kids, Brent leads our FP&A and Investor Relations efforts at HotelTonight. Brent previously spent 11+ years as a public market investor at Franklin Templeton where he managed portfolios totaling $1.5 billion in assets. Prior to that he spent 3 years as a private equity investor and began his career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. He HotelTonights at Meadowood Napa Valley.
A native Texan who has made a new home in the Bay Area, Jonathan leads the effort to operationalize and evangelize data throughout the company. Jonathan has an engineering background, and was the technical cofounder of a number of startups (successful and otherwise) in his days before joining HotelTonight. When he's not staring at charts, he can usually be found on the golf course, continuing his lifelong quest for a hole-in-one. He HotelTonights at Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma.
Heather joined Hotel Tonight as the VP Corporate Controller in June 2018. She brings 20+ years of experience working in and leading finance, financial operations and systems, accounting, audit, tax, and compliance functions for various companies in diverse industries including manufacturing, skincare, clean energy, software, and public accounting. Heather is a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of California. She strongly supports equal opportunity for women in business and is an inner circle member of How Women Lead. Heather is a travel and wellness enthusiast who enjoys spinning, competitive rowing, and hiking adventures inside and outside of the U.S.
Cameron (Cammy) Houser leads the newly formed HotelTomorrow initiative, focusing on all things hotel innovation for HotelTonight and Airbnb. Cammy started Airbnb’s Hotel Program in 2016 which ultimately lead to Airbnb acquiring HotelTonight in 2019. Prior to joining Airbnb, Cammy started a socially conscious ecommerce company called Given Goods and worked as a strategy consultant and lobsterman.
Cammy’s first job in the travel industry was working for Steamboat Ski and Resort Co in Colorado. She held the role of National Sales Director (plus, part-time skier.) For the last five years, she has mentored a Mission High School student weekly through the San Francisco Education Fund and has been a longtime girls youth lacrosse coach. In her free time, Cammy is usually skiing, riding her bike on forgotten gravel roads around the world, or learning skills to keep her busy on flights like knitting or origami.
