Why We Like It

  • History buffs will dig the gastropub, with live music & 3 dining areas – one formerly a ‘men’s only’ bar & one a Revolutionary War storeroom.
  • Whether your room’s in the main house, guest house or cottage, not everything is ‘ye olde’ – free WiFi and 42-in flat-screens await.
  • Afternoon tea in the Thoreau Room is a must. (But don’t over-scone. You’ll need room for dinner at the gourmet restaurant.)

Great location and lovely staff. only downside was need to have windows open because we couldn't control the heat. Room faced the street and morning traffic was very loud.
