It has been more than two years since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Travelers are now well aware of the possibility that COVID-19 will disrupt their plans. In recognition of the fact that COVID-19 has become a known health risk, for all new reservations, we will now treat COVID-19 as we do any other unforeseen health condition. This means:
Reservations made on or after June 30, 2022
Reservations made on or after June 30, 2022 will be subject to the applicable cancellation policy without exception (typically non-refundable and non-cancellable) even in situations where the guest or someone in their party has contracted COVID-19.
Reservations made before June 30, 2022
For reservations made before June 30, 2022, we will continue to consider guest cancellation requests, supported by appropriate documentation, in the following scenarios:
In order to comply with disease control restrictions implemented by relevant governmental or health authorities;
In order to perform medical or disease control duties in connection with COVID-19;
As a result of flight or ground transportation cancellations initiated by an airline or ground transportation provider due to COVID-19; or
In the event that they are diagnosed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 by a medical or health authority.
